Jeffrey Lee Gross, 65, passed away peacefully at his home in Lawrenceville on December 24, 2025. A celebration of Jeff's life will be held at Fairview Presbyterian Church in Lawrenceville on Saturday, January 10th at 11:30 in the morning. Those wishing to honor Jeff's memory may consider a contribution to Fairview Church in his name, in lieu of flowers. Jeff is survived by his sister, Rebecca Gross, brother Jim Gross and brother Danny Gross; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. A life-long fan of music (especially the Rolling Stones and Aerosmith), he also loved gardening and feeding "his birds." Well-known for never shying away from spirited political debate, he cared deeply about issues such as social justice and the environment. Jeff was a beloved member of Fairview Presbyterian Church in Lawrenceville. He was always ready to help in any way he could. He especially enjoyed helping with workdays, trimming branches, hauling off debris and anything to do with landscaping and making things beautiful. As a deacon at the church, Jeff had a caring heart for others. He had a special place in his heart for elder members. He would help with yard work and check on members, making sure they were ok. He dearly loved Fairview and was loved by the congregation. For twelve years, Jeff served Norcross High School as a custodian, where he became a beloved fixture known affectionately as 'Metro.' He formed deep connections with students and faculty alike, becoming one of the Blue Devils' most devoted supporters. Whether cheering from the sidelines or offering words of encouragement in the hallways, Jeff's genuine care for the school's athletic programs and the young people he watched grow made him far more than staff—he was family. The distinctive jingle of his key ring, the familiar hum of his golf cart making rounds, and his warm humor brightened countless days.
