James Coleman Roe (Jimmy), age 65 of Decatur, GA, passed away on Wednesday, December 26, 2018. Mr. Roe was a 1971 graduate of Bass High School in Atlanta, GA and a 1972 graduate of Atlanta Area Tech in Atlanta, GA.  Mr. Roe began his career as a diesel mechanic with Fulton Concrete Company, followed by Mack Trucks of Atlanta. His final job role was as a maintenance technician at Earth Grains bakery in Forest Park, GA. Mr. Roe was an avid classic car fan, and he loved listening to music.  He is preceded in death by his parents, Coleman David Roe & Mildred Williams Roe, and one brother, Ronald Roe.  Mr. Roe is survived by his loving children, Rachel Roe of Clawson, MI; and James Coleman Roe Jr. of Flowery Branch, GA; sister and brother-in-law Carolyn & Donnie McDaniel of Buford, GA; several nieces, and one nephew. A Celebration of Life Service for James (Jimmy) Coleman Roe will be held on Sunday, May 19, 2019, 2:00 p.m. at the Roe family cemetery plot. The service will be held at Crest Lawn Memorial Park: 2000 Marietta Boulevard NW, Atlanta, Georgia.  North Atlanta Church of Christ Minister, Don McLaughlin, will officiate the service.  When entering the cemetery, please follow the signage that will direct you to the Roe family cemetery plot.  In the case of inclement weather, the service will be held at the covered mausoleum that is located near the front entrance of Crest Lawn Memorial Park.
