Jim Hackel age 59 of Monroe, GA passed away on September 8, 2017. A native of New York, He was a Mason and member of Scottish Rite, and a U. S. Marine Veteran. He loved playing in the Dirt and loved God. A very caring person always behind the scenes caring for others. Employeed with Rockdale County water and sewer as an inspector, and formerly a field engineer in the Concrete business. He is survived by his wife - Debora Hackel of Monroe, GA, Step Son - Robert Combs, Daughters - Loretta, Vickie, Tiffany and Sarah, 17 grandchildren, Brother - A.J. Hackel, Sisters - Joel Eaton, Bonnie Webb, Sandy Hackel. The family will receive friends Monday , September 11, 2017 , from 12:30 pm - 1:00 pm at the Funeral Home with A Memorial Service to follow at 1:00 pm from the Chapel of Byrd and Flanigan Crematory & Funeral Service, Lawrenceville, GA with Chaplain Jeff Clegg officiating.
