James Calvin Ferguson Sr. age 81 of Lawrenceville, GA passed away Thursday November 12, 2020. He was preceded in death by his wife Ida Holloman Ferguson, son James Calvin Ferguson Jr, brother Honorable Wilkie Ferguson Jr., and was a Member, Deacon and Sunday School Teacher of New Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church in Miami, FL, and was a proud graduate of Morehouse College in Atlanta. He is survived by his longtime companion Carolyn Chatman of Miami, FL, daughters & sons in law Aisha & Shawn Thompkins of Lawrenceville, Saretta & Harry Norton of Miami, sons & daughters in law Darryn Ferguson of Miami, Terrance & Beverly Ferguson of Miami, Ricky Ferguson of Miami, Sheldon Ferguson of Miami, Howard & Karen Ferguson of Miami, step son Jerrod Vaughn of Miami, 8 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, sisters Phyllis Gibson, and Patsy Bain both of Miami, sister in law Betty Ferguson of Miami, and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday November 21, 2020 from the chapel of Byrd and Flanigan Funeral Home with Rev. D.L. Powell of New Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church in Miami officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday November 21, 2020 from 10:00 - 11:00 at the funeral home.
