Toepke, John Arthur ("Jack"), 74, of Atlanta, Georgia passed away on Sunday, April 16, 2017. He lived for many years in the Central Florida area at Bay Hill where he was a lifetime member of the Bay Hill Country Club.
At the time of his death, he lived in Grayson, GA where he was Chairman and Chief Executive Officer for TOMCO2 Systems, a major leader in the CO2 Industry.
He was directly involved with TOMCO2 Systems since its formation in 1970, as well as, with its former parent company, Carbonic Industries Corporation.
Jack was born in 1942 in Oak Park, Illinois and was a passionate and Die-Hard Chicago Cubs fan his entire life. He earned his bachelor's degree in business administration from Spring Hill College, Mobile, Alabama in 1964.
He was an enthusiastic golfer, and had at one time considered becoming a professional golfer. He also loved to water ski and snow ski. His most recent passion was gardening.
He will be remembered for his great generosity to his family and his community.
Jack is survived by his spouse Freda Toepke, his sons Jack Jr. and Jim, his daughter and son-in-law, Joleen and Doyle Kirkland, their mother, Jane and his two granddaughters Meghan and Greta Kirkland.
A celebration of his life will be held at Dubsdread Country Club, 549 W. Par Street, Orlando, FL 32804 on Tuesday, April 25th from 11:00-1:30 pm.
