J.B. Talbert, age 82 of Monroe, GA; passed away on Tuesday, July 24, 2018.  Mr. Talbert was a 1954 graduate of Richmond High School in California. He attended Contra Costa College for two years following service in the US Navy. J.B. retired as a sergeant in May 1986 after 26 years of service with the San Pablo police department. He was active in Rotary, Salesians Boy's club and various civic organizations. After retirement, J.B. and his family moved to Georgia where he worked in construction and several other jobs  until retiring for good. He was very active in the Moose International, where he attained his Moose Fellowship. He enjoyed traveling, Karaoke, and his family & friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents Jerry & Bea Talbert, step-mother Gladys Talbert, and brother Carthel. J.B. is survived by his wife, Kaye Talbert, children Jeff Talbert & Gloria Guzman of CA; David Talbert of CA; Stacy & Sean Wade of GA; Jami & Mike McCollough of GA; grand-children Kim & Michael Wofford, Shauna Wade, Tori Wade,Dalton McCollough,Emily McCollough; great-grandchildren Mason Price, Zak Wofford, Liam Wofford.  Reflections with family and friends will be held on Monday, July 30, 2018, from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm at the funeral home. in lieu of flowers, the family asks that donation may be made to the Moose Heart or to Moose Haven at MooseIntl.org.  Arrangements by Byrd & Flanigan Crematory And Funeral Service Lawrenceville GA.
