Ilse Charlotte Rodriguez, née Schwarz, was born on July 20, 1937, in Frankfurt, Germany, and passed away on July 20, 2022, in Smyrna, Georgia.

Ilse is survived by her two sons; Joshua Gregorio Rodriguez and Jonathan Rodriguez (Klimar); grandsons Israel Aramis Rodriguez and Samuel DePinho; her sisters Ruth Franklin, and Renate Stollenwerk (Josef); along with many nieces and nephews. Ilse was predeceased by her Father and Mother; Emil Arthur Schwarz and Elisabeth Schwarz; siblings Arthur Alfred Schwarz, Hans Wolfgang Schwarz; and Gerda Henricks; née Schwarz.

Ilse moved to the United States from Germany at the age of 15 in 1952. After arriving in the United States, Ilse attended school and lived in Knoxville, Tennessee. In 1960, Ilse moved to Atlanta, Georgia and was hired by Southern Airways where she worked as a reservation agent; and later Sabena Airlines. Ilse was married in 1975; and started her family in 1976. Her former husband passed away in 2016. After settling in the Atlanta metro area, Ilse became associated with the Peachtree Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses; and at the time of her passing was an active member of the North Smyrna Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses.

Ilse loved teaching others the Bible and sharing with them the promise from Revelation 21: 3 and 4 regarding a time when God will be with mankind "And He will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore"… Ilse taught herself Spanish and later Portuguese and assisted many individuals in the Atlanta Spanish and Portuguese communities to learn about the Bible.

There will be a virtual memorial service by Zoom on Saturday, July 30, 2022, at 2:00 p.m.
