IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Homero
Leon
March 17, 1956 – December 25, 2025
Homero Leon Jr. was born to Blanca and Homero Leon Sr. on March 17th, 1956, Guines, Habana, Cuba. At the tender age of two Homer's parents were forced to flee Cuba settling first in Yucatan, Mexico, and later in Miami, Florida.
Homero Jr. developed a love for Art and Baseball, winning a drawing contest in the second grade for his portrait of Abraham Lincoln and becoming an avid Baltimore Orioles fan. These remained passions of Homero for the remainder of his life as he continued to paint for as long as he possibly could.
Later during his school years Homer became an avid reader, consuming all that he could of his new passions, philosophy, human rights, and his defining zeal, The Law.
Homero graduated from Florida State University with an Undergraduate degree in Philosophy and in 1982, a Jurist Doctorate in Law. He began his career joining The Orlando Greater Legal Services in Florida and later became a member of Georgia Legal Services and served with them for over 30 years!
Homero is survived by two wonderful children, Arsidez Leon, and Alejandro Leon. His younger sister, Amelia Leon, and his nephew, Bruce Zamora. His decline and passing is a shock for all of us. We will miss him greatly.
