Homer Donzell (Don) Brooks age 69 of Lawrenceville GA passed away on Tuesday, April 9, 2019. Mr. Brooks served in Vietnam and a Veteran of the United States Marine Corps, he was currently employed with Auto Zone Auto Parts and worked for John Cox Construction and Pike Electric. Don was preceded in death by his parents George Homer & Rosalee Brooks, brother Raymond Brooks, & sister Rhonda Allison.  He is survived by his loving wife of twenty years Denise Brooks, children William Allen (Billy) Brooks of GA; Kristy & Brock Coogler of Cave Spring GA; Melody & Chad Byrd of Rome GA; Brad & Jaimie Green of Hartwell GA; brothers & sisters Ray Brooks of Jackson GA; Rita Williamson of Oxford GA; Martha & Harold Ewing of Oxford GA; Ione & John Egan of Snellville GA; David Brooks of Lawrenceville GA; & Becky Owenby of Hiram GA; grandchildren Kinsley Coogler, Ansley Coogler, Tyler Green, Jackson Green, Landon Green, & Starr Brooks and several sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, & cousins. A celebration of Don's life will beheld on Friday, April 12, 2019, at 2:30 pm in the Chapel of Byrd & Flanigan Funeral Service with Rev. Ronnie Cox & Pastor Jody Everett officiating. Interment will follow at Gwinnett Memorial Park Lawrenceville GA.
