IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Harold Macoubrey
Hubbard
April 19, 1962 – January 7, 2025
LAWRENCEVILLE, GA - Harold Macoubrey Hubbard, affectionately known as "Mac" was born on April 19, 1962, in Reykjavik, Iceland, and passed away on January 7, 2025, age 62, in Lawrenceville, Georgia at Northside Hospital Gwinnett. Pursuant to his wishes, he was cremated, and his ashes will be spread in the destinations he requested.
His arrival into the world was as unique as his life, born in the bathroom of a busy U.S. Air Force base hospital to his parents, Svala Jonsdottir Mambert and Stephen Lawrence Hubbard, he held dual citizenship with United States and Iceland.
While most people share a family tree, Mac's family was a vine. Growing up in the middle of several stepmothers and nine siblings—five 1/2 sisters, two 1/2 brothers, and one full brother —undoubtedly shaped his resilience to maintain true family value and character. He carried these qualities with him throughout his life, pursuing his goals with determination and focus.
His early life was spent traveling many countries, seeing a lot of the world, finally settling in Charleston, South Carolina. He briefly served time in the Air Force Reserves, then started college at College of Charleston. Here, he met his lifelong friends (Jim Raburn from high school, Tony Pendarvis and David Stoner during college.) He played keyboard for a band called Moondogs with David, Tony, and a few others. November 1991, he met, and later married Tammy Hubbard.
In December 1997, Harold achieved a significant milestone by earning his Doctor of Jurisprudence (JD) degree from Atlanta's John Marshall Law School. This accomplishment reflected his dedication to the field of law and marked a proud chapter in his life.
Those who knew Mac will remember him for his intellect and steadfast commitment to his pursuits. His journey through life was defined by perseverance and achievement, leaving an enduring impression on all who crossed his path.
Survivors include his wife, Tammy Hubbard, three children Jonathan Hubbard, Gabriel Hubbard, and Jennifer Clemente. His siblings Elizabeth Evans, Sandy Hanstein, Myja Merritt, Aaron Guevara, David Hubbard, Catherine Hubbard, Michael Takeda, and Semera Faroog
