Gladys "Bess" Priester was a strong and vibrant wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, with an engaging sense of humor and a fearless approach to life.  It is with deep sorrow that we announce her passing at age 90 on March 1st, 2024. Born on July 8th, 1933 in Quitman, GA, Bess was known as a dedicated witness for Christ, a tireless volunteer, and a golf (and all sports) enthusiast.

Bess is survived by her devoted husband of 72 years, Pastor Guy P Priester of Grayson, GA, her two children, Guy Priester, III and Cynthia Beard and their spouses, her 3 grandchildren,  Kenneth Beard, Jonathan Beard, and Guy P Priester, IV, and their spouses, her 3 great-grandchildren, Isabella Beard, Gal Priester, and Luke Beard, her sister Marcia Boswell, and other beloved family and friends.

A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday March 9, 2024 at The Church on Main 2400 Main Street E. Snellville, GA 30078.  The family will receive friends on Saturday March 9, 2024 from 12:00 until 2:00 at the church.  Arrangements by Byrd and Flanigan Crematory & Funeral Service, Lawrenceville, GA 770-962-2200.
