Gary Alan Marshall, 73, of Lawrenceville, GA, passed away on Saturday, August 8th, 2026, at Northside Gwinnett Hospital. He was a proud father and grandfather.

Gary was born in Atlanta, GA, and grew up in Hapeville, where he was a graduate of Hapeville High School. As a student, he was a member of the Junior ROTC and a manager of the school's football team.

He graduated from Southern Technical Institute with a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology and worked for the most part of his career with Blake and Pendleton as a Pump and Applications Engineer.

Gary was a gentle soul and had a kind and loving touch not lost on anyone who met him. He had an optimistic outlook on life, and his innate ingenuity was ever prevalent.

He was dedicated to community involvement. In addition to spending years being a volunteer for his children's swim team, the Carrollton Bluefins, he continued to serve and give back through his membership with the Civitans Club.

One of Gary's greatest joys was singing. He was a member of Lawrenceville Presbyterian Church and their Choir for over 20 years, where he was an occasional soloist. He was also a previous member of the Gwinnett County Choral Guild.

Gary was also a proud member of the Mustang Club of America and a supporter of Georgia Tech football, where his father attended as well as his children.

Gary is predeceased by his father, Henry Grady Marshall and Betty Forrest Marshall, as well as his brother, Grady Arthur Marshall. He is survived by his other brother, Gregory Marshall (Donna), his son, Brian Marshall, his daughter, Melanie Gersh (Jacob), and his four grandchildren, William Green, Tucker Green, Levi Gersh, and Alice Gersh.

Services for Gary will be held at 3 pm on Saturday, August 15th, 2026, at Lawrenceville Presbyterian Church with visitation preceding at 2 pm. There will be a reception following in the Fellowship Hall.

Burial, upon Gary's request, will be at his family's plot in Concord, GA, at a later date, where he will be peacefully laid to rest with his mother and father.
