Elmer Secret Cole "Tuffy" age 84 of Snellville, GA passed away March 20, 2018. He was a loving Husband, Father, Papa and Great Papa, Brother-in-Law, favorite Uncle to all and friend. He was a man of God and lived a life to proud of.  He was known for his ability to "fix" everything!  He was clever and skilled in all things electrical, mechanical, and plumbing.  He was a man of few words, but loved to joke.  He had a quick-wit and a sense of humor that everyone loved. His personality was one that people remembered.  He always had a contagious smile on his face and never met a stranger.  He always had kind word; however, if he really liked you – you better expect him to "pick-on-you" and try to get the best of you!  He loved and valued time with his family and friends. He was a lifetime resident of Gwinnett County and was retired as a Foreman with General Pipeline after 25 years' service. He was a member of Calvary Praise Center in Snellville, GA. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lovie Jane Roach Cole  &  Clifton Cole of Toccoa and Stone Mountain, GA; Mother-in-Law Ethel Mae Cash Ergle of Stone Mountain, GA; Sister-in-Law Martha Lee Ergle of Stone Mountain, GA.  He is survived by his Wife - Zelma I. Cole of Snellville, GA; Daughters & Son In Law – Deborah "Debbie" I. & Willis Daniel "Danny" Simpson of Grayson, GA; Tonya L. Cole of Monroe, GA; Grandsons - Travis R. Simpson, Todd R. Simpson  both of Grayson, GA;  Great Granddaughter - Holly Anne Simpson of Grayson, GA.  Brother-in-law Virgil D. Ergle of Stone Mountain, GA; Brother-in-law Jimmy E. Ergle (Lorrie) of Sevierville, TN; and a host of special nieces & nephews and great nieces & nephews.  The Family will receive friends Thursday, March 22, 2018, from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm and Friday, March 23, 2018, from 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm. Funeral Services will be held Friday, March 23, 2018, at 1:00 pm in the Chapel of Byrd and Flanigan Funeral Home with Pastor Brandon South and Dr. Rev. Roger Bailey Officiating. Interment will follow at Melwood Cemetery in Stone Mountain, GA.
