Doris J. Segars Wood age 81 of Auburn, Georgia passed away Tuesday March 18, 2025. She was preceded in death by her husband Edwin Larry Wood, and was a Journey Man Meat Cutter. She lived in Doraville for 30+ years where she was the neighborhood grandmother. Everyone knew her as NANA, even adults did not know her name. She would organize clean ups for the neighborhood and got sidewalks put in the neighborhood for the kids. She would help anyone and everyone knew her door was open. She is survived by her granddaughter Kourtni & Cory Muse of Auburn, grandson Nick Davis, great grandchildren Korina Muse, Cory Muse, Johnathan Muse and John Spears. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:30 pm Friday March 28, 2025 from the chapel of Byrd and Flanigan Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Friday March 28, 2025 from 12:30 pm until 1:30 pm at the funeral home. There will be a burial service after the funeral at East Shadowlawn in Lawrenceville.
