Debra Ann "Debbie" Stephens

Age 61, of Lawrenceville, GA, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, surrounded by family and friends in Lawrenceville, GA.

Debbie was born in East Point, GA, to the late Donald and Rosa Lee Samples Stephens. She dedicated her life to caring for animals as a skilled and compassionate Veterinary Ophthalmology Technician.

Debbie's life was filled with the things she loved most: tending to her yard, enjoying the tranquility of the beach alongside her cherished dog, Deacon, and spending time with her friends and family. She found joy in fishing, reveled in her competitive spirit, and was a proud and passionate fan of the Georgia Bulldogs and the Atlanta Braves. Debbie also had a talent for gardening, growing some of the best tomatoes ever tasted, and was known for her unwavering kindness and generosity toward her friends.

Preceding her in death were her beloved parents, Donald and Rosa Lee Samples Stephens. She is survived by her lifelong partner and closest companion, Pam Roberts; her brothers, Lloyd, Gary, and David Thompson, and their families; her dear aunt, Elaine Long; her cousin, Wesley; and Sharon Stephens. Debbie also leaves behind her loyal protector, Deacon, who was ever by her side.

Debbie's warmth, dedication, and zest for life will forever be remembered by all who knew her. Her love will echo in the soothing waves that forever form on the shore.

A Celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday March 22, 2025 from the Chapel of Byrd and Flanigan Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Saturday March 22, 2025 from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm at the funeral home.
