Dacula

David L. Lynn, Sr., 79, of Dacula, Georgia, passed away on August 5, 2026. Born on February 6, 1947, in South Carolina, David lived a life defined by curiosity, ingenuity, and an unwavering drive to understand how things worked — and to build something ofhis own.

David proudly served his country in the United States Navy as an electrical technician aboard submarines, a role that demanded precision, discipline, and quiet courage beneath the surface of the sea. That early training would shape the rest of his life, instilling in him a deep respect for craftsmanship and a lifelong fascination with all things mechanical.

After his service, David pursued his education at Southern Polytechnic College of Engineering, where he earned his degree in Electrical Engineering. He carried that technical foundation into a career in medical imaging sales, where his determination and vision led him to build his own company from the ground up — a testament to his entrepreneurial spirit and his refusal to settle for the easy path.

David was, above all, a lifelong learner and a builder at heart. Whether he was tracing the logic of an electrical system, rebuilding an engine, or restoring one of his beloved motorcycles, he approached the world with an insatiable curiosity and a hands-on determination to understand how things worked — and to make them better. As an avid pilot, he especially loved taking to the skies in his Cessna 310, a fitting pursuit for a man who spent his life chasing new heights of knowledge and skill.

David is survived by his wife, Patti Lynn; his children, Amy Browning and David L. Lynn, Jr., whom he shared with his first wife, Kay F. Lynn; and his grandson, William Yost. He will be remembered for his passion for building and rebuilding, his relentless pursuit of knowledge, and the legacy of ingenuity and curiosity he leaves behind for his family.
