David "Dave" Francis Miller age 75 of Dacula, Georgia passed away peacefully at his home on March 16, 2019, surrounded by his family. Dave was born on November 13th, 1943 in Columbus, Ohio to Francis Xavier and Ruth Miller.  He graduated from Rosary High School in Columbus Ohio in 1961 and earned his Mechanical Engineering Degree from Ohio State University in 1966.  On April 1, 1967, David married Linda Grigsby of Canton Ohio, and they remained married for 52 years until the day of his passing.  Dave was employed by BF Goodrich after college where he worked for 21 years at Martha Mills in Thomaston, Georgia in the tire cord and textile industry.  He later moved his family to McDonough, Georgia where he worked for Snapper Power Equipment until his retirement in 2008.  Dave found his retirement bliss with Linda doing yard work and enjoying his kids and grandchildren.  Born and raised a Catholic Dave was a husband, a dad, a grandpa, a competitor, an athlete, and an engineer.  Dave was a dutiful leader admired and respected by his family, his employees, his colleagues, and his friends, particularly for his fairness, intelligence, and organization. He was extremely protective of those in his charge at home and at work and had a hardy sense of humor that at times was a bit mischievous.  Dave was driven by duty and responsibility, he was a "numbers man" and respected as a mathematical genius and a "let's go with the best idea" supporter, no matter where the idea originated. David believed in education. His three sons were Eagle Scouts, and his Daughter was a GA Key Award recipient, and Dave supported all of them in their secondary level educations. Dave is survived by his wife Linda, his four children Crystal, Andy (Cyndy), Matt (Tosha), and Mike (Melissa), his five siblings Carol, Sister Nancy, Tom, Mary, and Theresa, and his eight grandchildren Nicholas, Grace, Michael, Maegan, Noah, Miranda, Tyler and Makenzie.
