It is with great sadness we share the passing of Darwin Christensen on October 17, 2024.

He was a man of immense humor and wisdom. There was always a joke forming in his mind and a technical problem that needed to be solved. Darwin was a cherished and beloved member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Lilburn, GA where he was a Stephen Leader. His involvement in all the activities of his church filled his life with great joy. Born in Iowa to P.M. and Helen Christensen on February 10, 1938, he was always very proud of his home state. Spending his childhood in Scranton, Iowa with siblings, cousins and friends. Graduating in 1956, he almost never missed a high school class reunion. Darwin attended Dana College in Blair, Nebraska. It is there where he met Sandra Hensen and they were married in 1959. They had two daughters while he served in the U.S. Air Force. The family later settled in Missouri. Sadly, Sandra passed away on December 27, 1972. After his two daughters married, Darwin left Missouri and moved to Snellville, Georgia to continue working for the Burroughs Corp. as a regional computer technician.

Darwin is survived by his daughters and their husbands: Pam and Larry Hoff, and Tammy and Tim Cronin. Six Grandchildren: Matt and Andrea Cronin, Megan Cronin and Trevin Cox, Joseph and Jamie Hoff, Tony and Taylor Hoff, Ryan and Heather Hoff, and Kara and Ryan Rackovan. Seven Great Grandchildren: Caroline Cronin, Marshall and Russell Hoff, Elijah and Cecilia Hoff, Carter Rackovan and soon to be born Zoey Hoff. All of Missouri. Darwin is also survived by his sister Beverly Murphy of Jefferson, Iowa, sister-in-law Sharon Christensen of Lincoln, Nebraska, and Steve Hansen of Overland Park, Kansas. Darwin was preceded in death by siblings: Jeanene Baker, Lavern Christensen, Allen Christensen and brother-in-law Clarence Murphy.

A celebration of life is planned at Trinity Lutheran Church on Thursday November 14, 2024  at 2:00 pm. Memorial donations may be made in Darwin's name to Trinity Lutheran Church of Lilburn, GA.
