Obituary

Curtis Rudolph Green, Jr., age 80, of Norcross, Georgia, passed away peacefully at his residence on January 13, 2026. Curtis was born on January 10, 1946, in Panama City, Florida, to the late Bonnie Mildred Holland Green and Curtis Rudolph Green, Sr. He was also preceded in death by his beloved brother, Richard Green, and sister, Suzanne Green Reeves.

A graduate of Albany High School’s Class of 1964, Curtis proudly served his country in the United States Army. Following his military service, he built a long and respected career with the Internal Revenue Service, where he earned numerous commendations for his dedication and professionalism before retiring.

Curtis lived life with an appreciation for simple joys and meaningful connections. He was an avid fisherman who found peace on the water, a devoted lover of music who enjoyed sharing songs and memories, and a gifted storyteller whose tales brought laughter and reflection to those around him. Above all, Curtis was a loyal and genuine friend—someone many could count on for kindness and a listening ear.

Curtis is survived by his son, Trey (Beth) Green of Leesburg, Georgia, his grandchildren: Gavin (Amanda) Lee of Tifton, Georgia; Tyler (Alexis) Green of Leesburg, Georgia; Jon William (Ginni) Lee of Tallahassee, Florida; Macie, Tucker, and Tanner Green of Tifton, Georgia; and Caroline and Kade Green of Leesburg, Georgia. He is also survived by his nephew, Greg Reeves of Savannah, Georgia, and his niece, Bridgett (Chris) Cromer of Leesburg, Georgia.

Curtis will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him, but his stories, laughter, and steady presence will live on. There are no formal services planned at this time.
