Christopher Allen Nix Sr.

April 1, 1973 — May 3, 2026

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Christopher Allen Nix, Sr., age 53, of Statham, Georgia, who went to be with the Lord on May 3, 2026—on his and his wife’s 18th wedding anniversary.

Chris was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, and friend. He is survived by his loving wife, Chrissy Nix; his sons, CJ Nix (25) and Cooper Nix (17); his parents, Bill and Dorothy Nix; his sister, Wendy Baxter (Lyndon); his father- and mother-in-law, Rick and Cheryl Crowe; his sister-in-law, Cindy Free (Carl Free); his nieces, Camden Lorys, Aubrey Free, and Molly Free; and his nephew, Trey Lorys.

Chris loved his family deeply and wholeheartedly. He never met a stranger—everyone he encountered was treated like a friend. His presence lit up every room, and his kindness left a lasting mark on all who knew him.

He was a hardworking and dedicated employee at Builder’s FirstSource, where he took pride in his work and the relationships he built. Chris always strived to be the best at everything he did, but more importantly, he had a passion for making people happy.
Chris found great joy in life’s simple and meaningful moments. He loved going to car shows, especially sharing that passion with his son CJ. Camping in his camper with cousins and close friends brought him so much happiness. He was a loyal Georgia Bulldogs fan and never missed a Saturday cheering them on. One of his greatest joys was Friday nights at BCA, proudly cheering on Cooper and his teammates. He was their biggest supporter and loved every moment spent on those sidelines. Chris was the kind of neighbor everyone hopes for—the first to welcome you, the first to lend a hand, and the first to make you feel at home. Foster Road will never be the same without him. Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing Chris is now at peace, free from pain, and whole again. Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at Bethlehem Church 985 Hog Mountain Road Winder, Ga 30680 at 2:00 PM, followed by a celebration of life service at 3:00 PM.
