Charles (Chuck) Edward Wood Jr., of Lilburn, GA went home to be with the Lord on December 30, 2022, after a long battle with Cancer. He was born on November 27, 1952, and was raised in DeKalb County, GA. He is survived by his loving wife, Margaret Wood, mother Dot Wood, daughters Jessica (Matt) Wood and Dawn (Wes) Brock, grandsons Carter Wood and Kory Brock, and brothers Dennis (Teresa) Wood and Darryl (Dawn) Wood. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Wood Sr. Charles was most known for his happy, upbeat personality. He always put a positive spin on things and never sunk to negativity. For dealing with his fellow brother, Charles's main goal was to always give them joy and make them happy. He was a friend to everybody. Charles had an "interesting" sense of humor that ranged from goofiness to wit. He was a true leader in his family, which was the love of his life. He was a true servant of God and another one of his loves was teaching his Sunday School class every Sunday morning. He really immersed himself in the Word of God and intense study to prepare his lesson each week. Charles loved to work with his hands, being a great handyman. He was extremely organized and had a great work ethic, whether at his day job or working around the house. He loved the outdoors, especially fishing, and his yard was his treasure with its many gardens and bird feeders. One of Charles's biggest strengths was his wisdom, rooted in the Word of God. A Celebration of Life will be held at 1PM on January 5, 2023, at Church on Main (fka First Baptist Church Snellville), at 2400 Main St., Snellville, GA 30078. The family will be receiving visitors from 11AM to 12:45PM, also at the church in the main sanctuary. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you donate to the American Cancer Society at cancer.org
