Obituary

Charles Timothy Curtis, September 10, 1942 – April 12, 2021 "Tim" lived a fulfilling life as a caring son, cousin, and friend. He had a distinguished career as an employee of Fulton County, Georgia, where he worked at the Atlanta Public library in downtown Atlanta. He loved animals, life in downtown, IHOP, Merrimac's Tearoom,  and music, especially Salsa and Merengue. He demonstrated extraordinary care and concern for the homeless people of Atlanta, who affectionately referred to him as "Two-dollar Tim", for his habit of carrying folded bills in his right pocket to give to the homeless on his daily walks. He was appreciated by all who knew him for his excellent sense of humor. In keeping with his request, a small memorial service will be held in French Camp, Mississippi at a later date. Those wishing to honor his life can make a donation in his name to the Central Outreach and Advocacy Center or to the Atlanta Humane Society, in lieu of flowers.
