Charles Lyle Allen, September 8, 1940 – July 15, 2026, Charles Lyle Allen, age 85, of Auburn, Georgia, passed away peacefully on July 15, 2026. Born in Walterboro, South Carolina, on September 8, 1940, Charles lived a full life with his wife, Rubye Mae

Meaders Allen for 66 years. They truly loved each other and were best friends throughout their long life together. They had 2 kids, Charles (Chuck) Lyle Allen Jr. (Michele) and Frances Delores Allen Alicea (Terry), and 2 grandchildren, Kaitlyn Luree Allen Fink (Devin) and Wesley Cole Allen.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar Lyle Allen and Harriett DeVeaux Glover Allen: his brother Joe Glover Allen. He is survived by his brother Robert DeVeaux Allen (Sister-in-law Susan), (Sister- in-law Kathy Allen), and Sister Julie Edith Allen Carvia (Brother-in-law Jay Carvia) and many nieces and nephews.

Charles was a hard-working Electrician by trade and enjoyed his work for others until he retired. He was an avid deer and turkey hunter, which he enjoyed so much with his friends. Charles had many lifelong friends that he truly cared for, and he was liked, loved, and will be missed by many. Charles grew up on a farm, which he really enjoyed. He loved life, helping others and people, and was thankful and blessed for everyone in his life. He helped others whenever he could and never expected anything in return.

He loved his family and friends, and they loved him. Dad’s absence leaves an immeasurable void, but his love, his example, and the memories he created will remain in the hearts of those who loved him forever. He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten. Rubye, Dee, and Chuck

Celebration of Life service will be held on September 5, 2026, at 11:00 AM at 308 Wages Road, Auburn, GA 30011
