Mrs. Betty Joyce Adams Outlaw, age 69, passed away at Emory Johns Creek Hospital on the afternoon of June 23, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

Betty was born on July 27, 1956, in Cheraw, South Carolina. She was the daughter of the late Letha Mae Adams Cook. Betty was a graduate of Cheraw High School. She was a former employee of  Crown Cork & Seal. Betty later went on to pursue a nursing career.  She earned her nursing degree while raising her family.

Above all of her many accomplishments, Betty cherished her family, especially her beloved grandchildren. She also had a special love for her cherished pets, "BoBo" and "Buddy," who won her heart at first glance.

Betty was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 40 years, James "Jeff" Outlaw; her mother, Letha Adams Cook; her sisters, Judy Nosser and Lisa Corbett; and her brothers, James Cook and Jerry Cook.

She is survived by her children, Christie Ford, Juli Ford, Jennifer Outlaw, and Jeffery Outlaw; her grandchildren, Kaleb Ford, Liam Ford, and Zane Outlaw; and her sister, Sue Johnson.
