Barbara Jean Gothard Wood, age 93, of Lawrenceville, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, April, 2, 2022.  She was preceded in death by parents, Cary and Annie Laura Gothard; son, William James (Rocky) Harris; and husband, Henry Irving Wood.  Mrs. Wood is survived by her daughters Jeannie Ross (Larry), Sheila Harris, step-son Ricky Wood (Joy), step-daughter Dian Kearney; daughter in law Sandi Wood; sisters, Doris Mountjoy, Carianne Tippett; grandchildren, Shannon West, Monica West, William Taylor (Rocky) Ross, Candace Wills (Marshal), AnnMarie Wood, Phillip Kearney (Laura); great-grandchildren, Joseph Miller, Hunter Simmers, Marshall Kearney, Parker Kearney, Caden Kearney; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Barbara was born in Thomasville, Georgia in December of 1928.  She attended Mercer University in Macon, Georgia.  She worked for many years at University Hospital in Jacksonville, Florida in data processing.

Barbara was a member of First Baptist Church of Atlanta. She loved her Lord and she loved her family.  She was a kind and loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great- grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.

Barbara read her bible faithfully and lived her life content in whatever circumstance she found herself in, until she was called home to be with her Lord and Savior forever.

There will be a private memorial service for Barbara in Thomasville, Georgia.
