Amruta Babulal Gala, age 69, of Marietta, passed away November 27, 2022.

Amruta was born September 26, 1953, in Mandvi, India to Bhimshi and Vegbhai Chheda. She came to the United States in 1972 after getting married to her husband of 47 years, Babulal. Amruta will be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

She and her husband had many successful businesses including an Indian grocery store and selling Indian dresses. She was a devoted to her Jain faith and regularly participated in religious activities. She was a wonderful cook, and her desserts and appetizers were always requested at any gathering. This Mother Teresa quote describes her perfectly "Not all of us can do great things. But we can do small things with great love." Everything Amruta did was done with great love. She is preceded in death by her parents, Bhimshi and Vegbhai, husband, Babulal, and brother, Babu. She is survived by her son, Rajiv (Anna), and her two daughters, Prerna (Greg) and Bhavana and 4 grandchildren, Shalin, Seine, Mason, and Coleman. She is also survived by her 3 sisters, Kanchan, Gunvanti, and Nita and her 2 brothers, Jayanti and Vasant as well as many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Wednesday, December 7th from 9:00-10:00 am. A memorial service will follow starting at 10:00. Services will be held at Byrd and Flanigan Funeral Home with Dr. Ravi Dave will be presiding. The service will also be live-streamed at www.byrdandflanigan.com.
