Mrs. Alice Antoinette Mayweather (Wilburn), received her wings on October 11, 2016 in Duluth, GA at the age of 85. She is preceded in death by siblings: Mr. Boyd Wilburn, Mr. Fred Wilburn, Mr. Herbert Wilburn, Mr. Leonard Wilburn, Sylvia Wilburn and Mr. D.G. Wilburn, Jr. Alice was born May 24, 1931 to the late D.G. and Luchee Wilburn, in Dacula, Georgia. She attended Dacula Public Schools. At an early age she professed her faith in Jesus and started her very own ministry, "True Followers In Christ".  Alice was a dedicated and devoted evangelist, mother and grandmother. She was a woman of many talents. She was employed as a social worker, she owned and operated two businesses, a thrift store and Alice's Carpet House. She later went on to raise three generations of children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was affectionately known to her siblings as "Sister" due to her maternal, unselfish and ever present care-giver mentality. Alice was a generous and understanding individual who loved the lord and her family, and was passionate about helping those around her. If you visited her you were guaranteed to leave with two things: a plate and prayer. Her beautiful and well lived life will be forever cherished by her children, Mr. John Gerald Whitehead and Mr. Luther (Diane) Whitehead; siblings, Mr. Willie Clyde Wilburn, Mr. James Wilburn, Mrs. Mary (Henry) Earl, Mrs. Nancy (William) Tanner and Mr. Mitchell Wilburn; grandchildren, Ms. Tanya (Tanshell) Whitehead, Mrs. Chrissy (David) Santiago, Mr. Kendon Kelley, Ms. Satanya (Big Eyed Doll) Battle, Ms. Quinterra (James) Cooper and Ms. Shalonda Whitehead; great-grandchildren, Horatio (Raytiono) Whitehead, Marquavia (Ploonie Lou)  Whitehead, Zarquavis (Boo Man) Nalls, Kelis (Evangelist) Hill and Chloe Santiago and a host of nieces and nephews.  Arrangements by Byrd & Flanigan Crematory And Funeral Service Lawrenceville, GA.
