Marilyn Williams Obituary

Marilyn Mason Williams age 85, died peacefully on Tuesday, July 17, 2018, in Snellville, Georgia. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Nelson L. Williams, Snellville; her daughter and son in law, Kathy Williams Bass and Charles E. Bass of Hoschton; granddaughter, Katie Bass of Auburn, Alabama; grandson, Mason E. Bass, and wife Nikki of Buford; great grandchildren, Landry and Myles Bass; sisters, Carolyn Jacobs of Gainesville, Ga; and Rebecca Page of Snellville. She was preceded in death by her parents, J. Wideman and Maude Tanner Mason.

Mrs. Williams was a long time member of Grayson United Methodist Church where she was a member of the Seekers Sunday School Class, and the Sisters in Faith Bible Study. Many friends and customers remember her as the Bookkeeper
at Snellville Auto Parts for many years, and some of her dearest friends enjoyed their bridge parties throughout the years. She traveled extensively and she and Nelson especially loved their travels abroad. Once she was able to travel easily, they enjoyed going to Hilton Head as often as possible.

Her family was her pride and joy. Nothing brought a smile to her face more than a visit from Kathy and Charlie or one of the grandchildren and great grandchildren, who lovingly called her Mimi. She cherished that title and wore it proudly. Nelson has been her sweetheart for over 65 years and so gallantly stood
by her side during her illnesses.

An 11:00 AM Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, July 21, at Grayson United Methodist Church, 555 Grayson Parkway, Grayson, GA with The Reverends Gerald Varner and Phil Schroeder officiating. Those who desire may make contributions to the Seekers SS Class or Sisters in Faith Bible Study at Grayson United Methodist Church.

Visitation and a reception will immediately follow the service in the Fellowship Hall.
