Barbara Ann Ross

 Barbara Ann Young Bond Ross was the first child born to Allie Simon Young and James Boyd Young of Augusta, GA. The Young family moved from Augusta to Atlanta when Barbara was five years old at which time her younger brother James Boyd Young was born. Barbara grew up in the Buckhead neighborhood of Atlanta and attended E. Rivers Elementary and North Fulton High School. She then went on to the University of Georgia majoring in education and was invited to join the Kappa Delta Sorority. After leaving UGA she moved to Savannah where she taught classes at the Isle of Hope Elementary and earned teacher of the year. Upon the death of her first husband Guerard Bond, Barbara moved back to Atlanta and worked with her brother James Young, a well-known interior designer. Barbara attended Ponce de Leon Baptist Church and All Saints where she married her husband Robert (Bob) Ross. Barbara enriched the lives of so many people through her generous heart and joyful, colorful character. She valued and enjoyed the time spent with her family and friends as much as she did her own life; for her, they were one in the same. For those of us fortunate enough to have known her we will deeply miss her and the time we spent with her. Barbara dear, we'll hold you and the memories we have of you in our hearts forever. Barbara is survived by her loving husband Robert (Bob) Ross, her daughters Barbara Ann Bond, Elise (Lisa) Guerard Bond, Laura Boyd Bond Chester and grandson Ross Boyd Chester.
